Hadfield Bowling Club has been in existence for over 120 years at its location on the aptly named Paradise Street in the heart of the village. It originally had links with the local Liberal Club on Bank Street and was, at one time, called "Hadfield Liberal Bowling Club" in the minute books. It is now a private club in the care of nominated trustees and provides social bowling for people of all ages and abilities in the community, as well as competitive bowling in a variety of local leagues.
Members themselves care for the upkeep of the green it surroundings and the clubhouse, which replaced the original wooden hut in the summer of 1985. The club is run by its members and funded through subscriptions as well as the sale of Joyce Halsall's famous refreshments!
Hadfield Bowling Club is situated in pleasant surroundings with views across the valley and is always ready to welcome anybody who wants to come along and try the game of bowls.
We look forward to seeing you on Paradise Street.
